Matar Poha Tikki Recipe By mala Flavors

Ingredients

  •  cup poha (flattened rice)
  • 1/2 cup boiled green peas (matar)
  • 1 boiled potato, mashed
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp cornflour or rice flour (for binding)
  • Oil for shallow frying

Steps

Wash the poha under running water for a few seconds and drain completely. Let it sit for 5 minutes until soft.

Mash the boiled potato and peas in a bowl.

Add the soaked poha, coriander leaves, green chili, ginger paste, cumin powder, chaat masala, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.

Add cornflour to bind the mixture and shape it into small round tikkis.

Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the tikkis on medium flame until golden brown and crispy on both sides.

Serve hot with mint chutney or tomato ketchup.
